Photographs and other images

How many photos can I have?

With Gold and Silver listings you can have 10 photo albums each with up to ten photos. That's a total of 100 pics plus your logo.  For Bronze listings you get one photo and one logo image. However should you have a Gold or Silver listing as well a Bronze they all benefit from or the higher allowance.

What dimensions should they be?

It's best to keep to regular proportions. By that I mean the proportions you would normally associate with a photo. 6"x4", 7"x5", 10"x8", etc The software will do its best to resize and/or crop anything you upload but if the image is an odd size, long and thin for instance, you could lose parts of it.

The space set aside for the logo at the top of your profile page is200w x 150h pixels

What resolution is best for photos?

Because the photo is being displayed on screen it should be 72 dpi. Anything more will create a larger file size and start to slow down the loading time.

Should I use gif or jpg/jpeg file?

gif file are better suited to solid blocks of colour whereas the jpg file is better at handling graduated tones such as those found in a photograph. For better reproduction of photos you should use a jpg file.

On your profile page, the area provided for your logo is 200 pixels wide x 180 pixels high.

Ideally the artwork you upload should be this size or pasted onto a background this size. It will then fit perfectly. If you are having problems making it fit,  CLICK HERE
