The Buccaneers -
A brand new fun feel-good show celebrating coming out of lockdown. Four hapless pirates come back to life after being locked down in Davy Jones Locker for over 200 years. The show is full of laughter, drinking and popular folk songs, sword fights and audience participation and treasure to win. Available as a full stage production show - Smaller cabaret style show or outdoor event show. Additional sword fighting workshop for all ages also available. Discounts for multiple bookings. Jack and the Beanstalk -
The popular pantomime for Christmas 2021. With a cast of four and amazing sets including a huge beanstalk that shoots up out of the ground all the way up to the giants castle. Meet Jack and his mother Dame Sally, Daisy the cow, the enchanting royal harp and the evil castle keeper. The star of the show has got to be the amazing giant that stands just under 3M tall.
AMA Theatre company was set up to provide quality shows at affordable prices for private and commercial bookings. The shows we produce are designed to appeal to a wide range of audience types and primarily family audiences. The company was formed by Ian Britten-Hull and Annie Albici who are both performers with many years professional experience in both variety and theatre. They have both worked in cabaret for holiday parks, hotels, weddings and the like but have also played Shakespeare and Chekhov in theatres. They have both performed at many of the large theatres in the UK including The London Palladium.
With their experinece they have devised and produced many shows suitable for a wide range of audience types such as pantomimes, music hall and musicals. They were inspired when working on the hotel and holiday park circuit by the fact that for a venue to book a full evenings entertainment can be very costly. For example booking a magician, a singer and a comedian soon mounts up in booking fees. As Ian and Annie are multi-skilled, they produce shows where there is music, magic and comedy all in the same show and the booking fee is based on the average cost of a single act. Thus hotels and holiday parks can afford to have a great quality variety show for their guests at a cost effective price.
In addition to their performance skills Ian and Annie are skilled producers and technical designers and all their shows are fully self-contained with a full sound system, lighting rig and stage scenery. All their shows are adaptable for varying space sizes, audience types and desired show time length. Some shows can be performed outdoors.
Many of the shows come with activites such as workshops, games and competitions. Every show is structured to the clients requirements making each performance unique to a given venue.
Like all theatre companies, they contract other actors and performers for the larger productions.
