Comprising the talents of four young professional musicians Akina Strings provides captivating musical entertainment for weddings, corporate events and other special occasions across Berkshire and the south east of England. Areas covered by the ensemble include, (but are not restricted to) Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London.The group was established in 2010 by four versatile young musicians with many years experience of sucessfully performing at high profile events with other professional groups in the UK and beyond. The ensemble quickly established a reuptation for providing exquisite music with a touch of sophisticated glamour, making any event memorable.

Entertaining newlyweds George and Amal Clooney at the UK celebration of their marriage at Danesfield House Hotel and Spa, in Autumn of 2014
Performing at the private Royal Residence Frogmore House set in the private grounds of Windsor Castle at the invitation of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award during December of 2014. Guests included HRH Prince Edward and other performers included Katie Melua.

Akina Strings has worked hard to build a diverse musical repertoire to draw from that spans almost 500 years of eclectical musical history from Elizabethan Motets to modern artists such as Frank Sinatra and Adele. This allows the group to tailor performances to any event, and any musical taste with a little input from the client. Our musicians all have many years of musical experience playing live events from appearing with Kanye West to recording with Katherine Jenkins to performing for celebrities such as George and Amal Clooney and guests royalty including HRH the Duke of Edinburgh. We are also experienced hands at arranging cover versions of songs for you event by request (extra fee chargeable) should you have a specific piece of music in mind for your event. Akina String's members have gained a wealth of experience performing at a range of events and celebations and are equally at home performing to a small intimate wedding party or a Banquet Hall full of guests or on the concert platform so you can be assured that whatever the occasion, your special day is in the best of hands. We have a strong philosophy of placing you the client at the centre of our work, so with this in mind one of the groups members will work with you, from your initial emquiry upto the event itself to plan and select beautiful music for those key moments during your event.
