Taking inspiration from the musical styles of the Roaring Twenties and beyond, the band put a vibrant and fun spin on all the top party hits making for a unique and memorable sound. In a place where Gatsby meets Gaga and flapper meets Flo-Rida, you're sure to have a fantastic toe-tapping time with The Prohibition Pop Band!
About: The Prohibition Pop Band were formed in Summer 2017 in Liverpool by professional vocalists Shonagh Daly and Richard Leeson. The two met in the original cast of the West End musical Dirty Dancing in 2006 and have been singing together ever since! They have both played leading roles in numerous West End shows including Les Miserables, High School Musical and The Beautiful Game and are both highly experienced recording artists, both having released albums with major record labels including Universal. Between them they have travelled the world on luxury cruise liners including Seabourn, performed for a US president and our very own HRH The Queen!
Having been part of other function bands, the duo decided to take things into their own hands and form a unique one of their own. Scouring Liverpool and beyond they have found some of the most talented musicians to add to their collective. The band, as individuals, were looking to join a project of this nature and jumped at the chance to be part of it. The band are all highly experienced session musicians and the chemistry they have together is electric. Coupled with the charisma of the vocal duo and their soaring yet funky vocals, The Prohibition Pop Band are sure to bring a level of class, sophistication, talent and bundles of fun to any event!
