The Recording Workshop

Sound Engineering & Music Production courses for beginnners & advanced. Full and part time. Only 4 people per class. Established since 1989.

About

Since 1989 this working 48 track professional recording studio has assisted over 2000 musicians, prospective studio engineers, enthusiasts, many DJ's, artists, producers as well as novices to develop their creative recording and production skills, experience and contacts.

The Workshop has been the only school used by the A&R personnel from Warner Music, BMG, Island, Nude, Jive, Mother, Polygram, Parlophone, Independiente, EMI & Decca records etc...·

The courses are designed for beginners and the more advanced alike. Having no more than 5 in a class they are ideal for gaining practical experience and guidance at using modern professional recording equipment and production techniques- for home or professional use and those thinking of setting up or building up their own studio.

Students have had placements in studios such as Metropolis, Mayfair, Sphere Studios & the BBC.

This is also an excellent forum for meeting other musicians and enthusiasts. As a result of the course students often get together and start their own musical projects which they record at The Workshop. Some students even start writing their own music for the first time despite their apparent lack of musical knowledge.
