Gillian Rae-Walker, is a versatile lyric soprano, her career spanning both the operatic stage and concert platform both in the UK and abroad. She has worked as guest soloist with the Chamber Ensemble of London, the Stuttgart Opera Orchestra, at the Festival of European Church Music, at many festivals and with numerous choral societies. Perfomances include Verdi's Requiem at Exeter Cathedral, arias by Purcell, Handel and Mozart at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and St. James's Piccadilly, Vaughan Williams's Sea Symphony at the Central Halls Edinburgh, Orff's Carmina Burana in Grimsby and Strauss's Four Last Songs in Stuttgart and most of the standard oratorio repertoire.  Operatic roles include such roles as Antonia, First Lady, Queen of the Night, High Priestess and Musetta with Opera East and similar companies. Future performances include appearances with the Chamber Ensemble of London, Verdi's Requiem at Malvern Theatres and Strauss's Four Last Songs with York Symphony Orchestra. The Südwest Presse recently wrote about her performance of Schmidt's Buch mit Sieben Siegeln: "Gillian Rae-Walker sang with captivating lyricism"
