School of Acting in London. 2 year acting training and short courses, scheduled around evenings and weekends to allow students to work and earn whilst they train.

About

THE SCHOOL is a centre for professional actor training, based in North London and established by long-serving staff members of the Poor School.

The two year course is a 100% practical, conservatoire-level training that is structured around evenings and weekends, thereby allowing students to work and earn whilst they train. It is a robust and rigorous actor training, covering classical and contemporary styles as well as acting based musical theatre. The course is delivered by an exceptional staff team with a proven record of successfully preparing actors for the industry and culminates in a public season of plays, including two industry showcases. Those completing the course are able to join Spotlight as actors and are also eligible for student/ graduate membership of Equity.

There is no upper age limit for the course and applications are encouraged from those from all backgrounds and walks of life who are passionate about acting and are looking to build a successful career.

We are currently auditioning for October 2020 entry. Please note that, whilst social distancing measures are in place, we are offering video auditions to all applicants.
