Chris Barton

About

Chris graduated from the University of Huddersfield with a BMus(Hons) in Music and quickly moved into the pop music industry. From 2001 Chris was a musician and bandleader in numerous bands playing gigs around the social club circuit and also the Holiday Parks and Military bases of the UK and Germany.
In 2009 Chris decided to explore other areas of entertainment and successfully completed a Light Entertainment Training Course with Thomson cruises. This lead to a contract on the liner Thomson Spirit as an Entertainment Host working as part of a large team delivering Gameshows and other onboard activities.
Chris then returned to music and worked as a keyboard player, musical director and vocalist in the resident bands for various companies such as NCL, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, P&O Ferries and Island Cruises.
In 2010 Chris became a member of the Production cast at Llandudno Grand Hotel, part of the Britannia Hotels Group. This role was as a production vocalist and involved working closely with the dancers which was great experience. This role has since lead to further cabaret work as a soloist in many of the hotel chains’ large venues.
More recently Chris has completed successful contracts as a solo artiste on MV Island Escape in one of their busiest venues and also as part of a resident duo “KC” for P&O Ferries.
Chris Barton has a vast range of material to suit any venue from a town centre nightclub to a high end hotel lounge/restaurant. He tailors his show to the needs of the audience and comes complete with a superb EV PA system if required. Chris is available either with backing tracks or with sheet music for live backing.
