The Charlie & the Funksta acoustic duo offers a fabulous female vocalist and percussionist with a talented acoustic guitarist. The duo also employs stomp boxes and loop pedals to real build up some cool and funky layers and produce a much fuller and more rounded sound, which also allows them to significantly expand their repertoire.
Charlie and the Funksta can adapt to suit the occasion. Their more pared down performances of simple vocals and acoustic guitar are ideal suited to providing some light accompaniment but they can certainly crank it up a fair few notches by adding percussion and using loop station technology to record harmonies and other instruments as they're performing live on stage.
Charlie & the Funksta can play a mix of modern upbeat covers from Clean Bandit and Florence and the Machine to classics from Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye. They can also do background accompaniment with hits from artistes such as Eva Cassidy and Tracey Chapman.
