About
Duo Piccolo e Grande was recently formed to explore non-mainstream baroque music for the mandolin and hurdy gurdy, accompanied by the theorbo and lute.
The duo has given concerts nationwide between London and York in beautiful locations such as the Wren Library at Lincoln Cathedral.
Both members have had illustrious individual careers since 1984, playing in various groups and ensembles specialising in historic music. Enzo Puzzovio plays mandolino and hurdy gurdy and Stewart McCoy on theorbo and lute.
Their repertoire includes music by Vivaldi, Scarlatti and Chédeville and their concerts are convivial and pleasantly presented.
As well as concerts, the duo can provide background music for occasions such as product launches and gallery events.
There are YouTube recordings available to enjoy.
