String Section

Professional string ensemble and arranger available for studio and session work, live performances and all aspects of recording. Excellent standard of sight reading.

About

String Section is a high quality ensemble, ideal for all types of recording work and providing everything from a solo violinist up to a 40-piece string orchestra. In addition to this, String Section offers a full range of services - from composition, orchestration and arranging to scoring and notating for strings. The group are the ideal choice for those looking to hire professional string players on their album projects, film scores, advertisements or for incidental music for radio and television. We also work for many independent composers, singer songwriters and producers and can skillfully overlayer strings to impressive effect, creating a full size string orchestra with as few as two players. We have worked with clients from all over the world and are happy to receive audio files remotely, sending back completed recordings quickly and efficiently, to exactly the recording specifications required by individual clients.

All String Section members offer a high level of sight reading and are able to work to tight deadlines without costly rehearsal time and retakes. Members are comfortable working with different styles of music - whether it's traditional folk, high energy rock, jazz or classical music. Because our players work together regularly as a permanent ensemble, they play tightly to achieve the best sound when recording live strings, whether recording a string quartet or a larger section.
