Inspired by the BBC's 'Great Orchestra Challenge? Come and join us!

Formed in 2009, we are a friendly group of adult string players who enjoy playing string-orchestra music on Monday evenings with repertoire that ranges from pre-baroque to 21st century.

There are no auditions and anyone from Grade 4 standard upwards is welcome, aged from 18 to 80+.
The music is chosen to suit the membership and we  enjoy working on a range of music in a non-pressurised, supportive and  very friendly environment. If you're interested, you're very welcome to come along and try us out, just take a look at the join us page.
