Viva Aerial Dance specialises in bespoke aerial silk and harness performance and rigging packages for high profile live events and in film and television.

About

With innovative swinging silks and multiple girl silks performances, Viva has been entertaining audiences in the London, UK and international corporate scenes, establishing a long-lasting reputation for quality in both performance and production.

Viva artists pioneered aerial silks performance in the UK, first bringing it to a national audience with BBC1's red silks IDENT, which ran for 4 years with 40,000 showings.

Our creative core team provides bespoke choreography, costumes, rigging design and concept equipment with access to a wide range of performer skills and expertise. We are experts in rigging venues which are ‘new to aerial’ and have a special interest in interpreting scientific concepts for performance.

“Your performance was a huge success. Thank you for the time, attention and care you took in the run up to and during the event. The care you take shines through in your performance and we are very proud to work  with you. We look forward to working with you again soon.”
Eleanor Richardson, The Angels Events“

Our latest artistic creation is The Floating Jellyfish, a truly unique statement piece for any under-the-sea themed event . These otherwordly, magical sea creatures bob, dance and spin on the currents and greet, entrance and tantalise with their tendrils. At the end of a spectacular aerial performance, each Jellyfish releases its beautiful Mermaiden onto dry land before raising back up creating all-night decor with an enchanting glow.

Viva has performed and consulted on numerous television and film productions including TV commercials for Sony PS3, Sunny D and for Rimmel as Kate Moss’s trapeze double. Movie performances include Batman Begins and Sherlock Holmes II, as well as a flying witch and flying stunt double in The Golden Compass, for Eva Green. We also offer training in aerial acrobatic techniques to performers working towards specific performance goals.

Our core production team has over 40 years of performance and show rigging experience with the technical knowledge and H&S capability to rig and perform in technically challenging venues. With our industry-specific H&S expertise and qualifications, we offer a unique, self-contained aerial performance package for your event. We welcome the opportunity to rig in ‘new to aerial’ venues and have so far pioneered aerial silks performances at The Arcelor-Mittal Orbit, Westfield and Bentalls Shopping Centres in London and at West Cheshire College.

During the event lead in, the Viva rigging team liaises with event and technical staff at the venue carrying out a site visit if needed and preparing all H&

I wanted to say thank you thank you thank you for such a fantastic press event yesterday. It was such a pleasure working with you all and what great results. A quick scan suggests we even won over the hardest, most cynical of science reporters. More of this kind of thing please!”
