JD Maskell Is an Irish music solo artist from the West Country, a versatile accomplished singer with a stage presence to match his six foot six inch frame and a heart full of laughter that would brighten the day for any audience.

After working with bands as a bass player for a few years playing all genres of music he realised his true direction was as a solo artist and so developed his career playing local venues as well as more exotic places, he has had several successful seasons in the Greek islands.

He is an entertainer in every sense of the word, he is no shrinking violet who sings and does little else, his personality grabs an audience’s attention and doesn’t let it go.

He moved in to Irish music both traditional and modern some years ago for two reasons, he loves the songs that makes people want to sing along, dance and make a good night a great one. He also realised there were very few good Irish music entertainers around. He found his niche and his popularity is growing everywhere he goes.

He still has the versatility to play all kinds of music, his main aim is to give the customers what they want but it is the Irish side of his act that has become dominant.

He is a big man with a big personality, he has the knack of taking an audience and making friends as soon as the stage lights are turned on.

Experience? He has that in spades. Charisma? He has that by the bucket load. Modesty? Not a bit then why should he? His friendly outgoing presence gives a magnetism that will hold an audience and have them laughing and singing. He has been playing for enough years to be able to handle crowds of all sizes and ages.

He uses only the very best quality backing tracks played on the latest quality equipment, he uses his own PA system and his own lighting set up so the is very little for you to do, point him to a stage with a power point and stand back, watch and listen. You can be sure that once heard you will want him back time and time again.
