Live in The Wyldes - Paloma Faith first headline act.

Live in The Wyldes announces Brit Award-winning singer Paloma Faith as the first headline act to take to the main stage in 2018. Following a successful launch last summer, Live in The Wyldes enters its second year with a series of one-day live music events at The Wyldes site near Bude. Kicking off the multiple music experiences, the Hackney born artist will journey south to perform at one of Cornwall’s most magical open-air venues on Sunday 8th July 2018. Tickets for Paloma Faith are available on Friday 2nd February 2018 via the website. More artists and further dates to be announced soon.

Renowned for her eccentric style and wild wardrobe, Paloma Faith shot to fame in 2009 with her debut album ‘Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?’. Having racked up a series of hits over the years including ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ and ‘Picking Up The Pieces’, Paloma scooped her first Brit Award in 2015 and sees herself in the running again this year having recently been nominated Best British Female Solo Artist for 2018.

Spending 8 weeks in the top ten, Paloma’s new album ‘The Architect’ was propelled by the poptastic single ‘Crybaby’ and the stunning single ‘Guilty’. As one of the only British female artists this decade to have her last three albums go double platinum in the UK, her new album is currently on course to become her fourth in a row.

Event co-founder, Sam Dunnett commented: “Off the back of some really well-received performances last year, we’re excited to enter our second year of Live in The Wyldes. A couple of us in the team have been lucky enough to see Paloma play live so we know for a fact that she will bring a really exciting show to the southwest this summer.”

In 2017, Live in The Wyldes welcomed Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and Chase & Status to the hand-crafted stage of The Wyldes site. Marking the start of the live shows, it was double Brit Award winner Rory Graham AKA Rag ‘n’ Bone Man that opened the event to what was his only performance in Devon and Cornwall last summer.

The Wyldes site is also home to the multi-award winning Leopallooza Festival which has seen performances from a string of major rock bands and international singer-songwriters over the past eleven years. Encapsulating the spirit and ethos of the grassroots festival, Live in The Wyldes continues to attract world-class musicians adding to the already extensive portfolio of artists.

Day tickets for Paloma Faith at Live in The Wyldes are available via the website at 9am on Friday 2nd February 2018 priced at £36 (plus booking fee).

Nestled within a tree-lined valley in North Cornwall, The Wyldes site lies just a few miles from the beach and moments from the scenic Atlantic Highway.Created and maintained using recycled and sustainable materials, The Wyldes follows a 0% landfill policy across all events.
