In The Woods Festival 2017 weekend tickets on sale

In The Woods today announce tickets are on sale for this year’s festival, taking place on September 1st and 2nd at a secret woodland location in Kent.

In a natural amphitheatre under the beautifully lit forest canopy, festival-goers will embark on a perfectly mapped out journey of discovery across music art and spoken word.

What started life as a party for friends of the indie pop outfit Laurel Collective, has subsequently grown into a perfectly formed, pocket sized, award winning festival. A capacity of just a 1000, ensures this event still feels like a party for friends and by chance, revellers will be treated to spectacular intimate performances, from breaking artists, on the cusp of critical acclaim.

Staying true to tradition, the line-up is kept secret until a week before it all kicks off, audiences however, can be in no doubt that they are in safe hands. Hosted by Radio X’s John Kennedy since 2009, all acts are personally selected by a team of accomplished curators, including Charlie Andrew, Brit Award winning producer.

In The Woods festival boasts a proven track record for launching the best up-and-coming acts on the scene. Previous line-ups have showcased Mercury Music Prize winners Alt-J and Young Fathers, as well as a wide selection of nominees including Laura Marling, Slaves and Kate Tempest.

Speaking on the Festival, Tim Adam-Smith says: "What makes ITW different from other festivals is our focus on building a truly balanced line-up that reflects every corner of the industry.

There are 7 of us, all with wildly different tastes; gunning for the artists we think are producing something special - it’s an incredibly democratic process where we only book an act if everyone is happy doing so.”

The magic of the woods is enhanced by towering art installations and across two main stages, ticket holders will be treated to the ultimate selection of eclectic new sounds, from a pool of up and coming talent. In terms of music discovery, this festival ticks every box.

To complement its expertly curated line-up, hidden gems are scattered through-out this tunnelling woodland. Stumble upon intimate lounge areas for playing a selection of vinyl, discover pop up cinemas showing art house films, yoga retreats to clear the mind and intimate moments listening to spoken word delivered via a silent disco. A fantastic selection of locally sourced cuisine and brews will keep festival-goers sustained from start to finish and the final night in the woods, is carried through until dawn, under the glow and warmth of a giant bonfire lit at midnight.
