Tribute bands and acts are a relatively new phenomenon which has grown tremendously over the past few years. Initially tribute bands recreated the sound and look of bands and singers that no longer perform - like The Beatles, Queen, Elvis, ABBA, etc. but now you can find tributes to almost any musician, singer or band. It seems that as soon as a new band breaks there is a tribute band or tribute artiste following behind. A tribute band could be thought of as the ultimate in cover bands because not only do they faithfully cover the music of a popular artist but they do their best to faithfully recreate the look and feel as well.
Please note that first names have been used to order this list of tribute acts. For instance Elvis Presley impersonators covering the music of "The King" will be found under 'E' for Elvis
